Some of the painting are by the founder of the Cusco school of art. The carved alters, coated in gold leaf are so impressive. You should plan 45 minutes to experience the church. There are stairs up the bell towers, can walk across the choir balcony and up other bell tower too. It was a nice refreshing view over the Plaza de Armas.
